A Little More About Us
This church is people . . . people who are finding purpose in life. We
believe the church is alive, spontaneous . . . more an organizational structure.
As we discover more fully our reason for being, we want to share it with others.
We see the church as a fellowship of happiness, fullness, and peace. A caring
Christ makes a caring people.
We are trying to be that; no human creeds; no material headquarters; no human
leader. We study the Bible. We attempt to be Christians only . . . nothing more,
nothing less. Come help us discover more fully our reason for
being . . .

We are a group of baptized believers who pattern our worship according to the
New Testament and seek biblical authority for all that we believe and practice
(2 Timothy 3:16-17). We do not recognize or participate in any man-made creeds,
disciplines, or religious traditions (Matthew 15:8-9). We believe in one Lord,
one faith, and one baptism (Ephesians 4:5) which is the basis for our unity. The churches of Christ are independent of any denominational structure or hierarchy; and are governed locally by a group of men appointed as elders by that congregation based on the qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. These men act as shepherds or oversees to guide us in our spiritual lives acting under the authority of Christ as the head of the Church. Serving under the elders are deacons, teachers, evangelists and members who use their spiritual gifts and talents in serving God. |
